ENERGY SECURITY ISSUES WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE SEMINAR OF THE NATO INDUSTRIAL PLANNING COMMITTEE IN VILNIUS
On 11-13 November in Vilnius, the session of NATO Industrial Planning Committee and an international seminar on the issues of energy infrastructure protection and energy security will be held in the Press Conference Hall of the Reval Hotel Lietuva.
The goal of this international seminar is to encourage NATO members and partner countries to discuss important energy security issues, to draw attention of the allies to various new energy security threats and types of risks, to provide possibilities for exchanging information and experience, aiming at close coordination of energy policy.
Speakers from Lithuania, the U.S.A., Canada, Switzerland, Finland, the U.K., Hungary, Romania and other countries will deliver speeches. The idea to organise a seminar on new energy security challenges in Vilnius was initiated this spring at NATO Headquarters in Brussels and was supported by many members and partner countries.
The seminar is organised by Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Energy.
