DURING POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS THE PERSPECTIVES OF COOPERATION AMONG THE BALTIC, NORDIC AND CENTRAL ASIAN COUNTRIES ARE DISCUSSED
On 17 June in Riga, Undersecretary of Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Laimonas Talat-Kelpša is taking part in the political consultations of political directors of the Baltic, Nordic and Central Asian countries together with EU Special Representative for Central Asia Pierre Morel.
Participants of the meeting are discussing the possibilities for cooperation among the countries of these regions while implementing the EU Strategy for Central Asia, which was adopted the previous year.
Special attention is given to the preparation of joint programs in the area of education, to the projects of cooperation in the energy and transport sectors, and to the security situation in the region.
