DRAFT INDIVIDUAL ANNUAL NATIONAL PROGRAMME ON NATO INTEGRATION PRESENTED

On 25 September, at the session of the Lithuanian Governmental NATO Integration Coordination Commission in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Antanas Valionis, Chair of the Commission, presented the draft of the 5th Individual Annual National Programme (ANP).
Lithuanian Minister of Defence Linas Linkevičius elaborated on the key military and resource aspects of the country’s membership in the Alliance. The role of all the institutions in the successful integration into NATO was underlined.
The Commission accepted the draft Individual ANP for 2003-2004. After its approval by the Government, the programme will be handed in to NATO.
