DIPLOMATS SUPPORT THE SOCIAL CARE CENTRE OF LELIŪNAI
On 22 December, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Ušackas visited the Social Care Centre of Leliūnai and attended the ceremony, during which the charity aid from Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Tong Mingtao was officially handed over to the Centre.
With the Ambassador’s donation of 20 thousand Litas, the Social Care Centre of Leliūnai (Utena District) has purchased various necessary items.
Director of Utena District administration Jonas Slapšinskas, head of Leliūnai community Lina Petronienė and the residents of the Centre took part in the ceremony, which was patronized by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Social Care Centre of Leliūnai provides social services for elderly residents of Leliūnai and currently takes care of 17 persons.
In November, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Tong Mingtao has also allocated the charity aid to residential care centre “Vilties Namai” in Vilnius.
