DIPLOMATIC CORPS GETS INVITED TO JOIN THE BASKETBALL PROJECT
On 8 March, a presentation of the joint project of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and Lithuanian Basketball Federation “All colours of basketball” will take place at the MFA.The project aims to join effort of all ambassadors who reside in Lithuania and represent countries of the participants of the 2012 FIBA Under-17 World Championship in order to organize a successful basketball and cultural event.
The event at the MFA will be attended by Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis and President of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation Arvydas Sabonis.Lithuanian Basketball Federation in cooperation with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) is organizing the Championship in summer 2012. From 29 June to 9 July in Kaunas Žalgirio Arena, the Lithuanian host team will compete with other young players from Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, France, South Korea, Spain and the U.S.
