DIALOGUE WITH THE EUROPEAN UNION DEPENDS FIRST OF ALL ON THE ENDEAVOUR OF BELARUS

On 5 April the Undersecretary of Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Laimonas Talat-Kelpša and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Valery Voronetsky, who is visiting Vilnius, discussed issues of energy security, visa fee rise after Lithuania’s accession to the Schengen area and bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
During the meeting the opinion was expressed that both Lithuania and Belarus are interested in developing direct people-to-people contacts of Lithuanian and Belarusian citizens, border infrastructure and communications.
L.Talat-Kelpša highlighted that dialogue with the European Union depends first and foremost on the endeavour of Belarus.
