BUSINESS POTENTIAL OF THE ALYTUS REGION WAS PRESENTED TO FOREIGN AMBASSADORS

On 26 March in Alytus, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Ušackas and heads of foreign diplomatic missions took part in the presentation of the business and investment potential in the Alytus region, met with the representatives of business and municipality.

The Minister stressed that economic diplomacy was one of the main Lithuania’s foreign policy priorities and noted that in this period of time Lithuanian business had to make every effort in order to maintain its niches of activity and its markets. Minister V.Ušackas also encouraged Lithuanian people to be more enterprising.

“The more up-and-doing we are, the quicker we get out of recession”, head of Lithuania’s diplomacy said.

The Minister was glad that more that twenty foreign ambassadors came to Alytus thus encouraging the region to look for new projects of cooperation.

“Lithuania is not only Vilnius, it only starts in Vilnius. Lithuania is diverse and it is my ministerial duty to present all the regions of Lithuania, aiming at the promotion of harmonious development of the whole state”, Minister V.Ušackas said.
