Budrys to open Brussels Economic Security Forum
On 3 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys is leaving for Belgium to open the Brussels Economic Security Forum, where he will deliver a keynote speech on "Mobilising economic power for European security".
The second annual Brussels Economic Security Forum is a high-level international event that convenes influential policymakers, experts, and prominent minds to discuss topical issues of economic security, geo-economy, reducing strategic dependencies, critical supply chain resilience, and competitiveness.
The head of Lithuania's diplomacy will also visit the European Parliament in Brussels, where he will meet with the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, David McAllister, and participate in a discussion with members of the Committee on Security and Defence.
The visit also includes meetings with the leadership of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats and the European Conservatives and Reformists in the European Parliament. During the meeting, the Minister will present the priorities of the upcoming Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the EU and discuss cooperation with the European Parliament.
