Budrys to attend the Helsinki Security Forum

On 2 October, Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys will pay a working visit to Finland, where he will meet with Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen, and take part in the Helsinki Security Forum.

At the fifth Helsinki Security Forum, Lithuania’s Foreign Minister will participate in a discussion entitled “Frontline states and the future of security and preparedness.”

This year’s forum will focus on European security and defence cooperation, transatlantic relations, technological sovereignty, defence innovation, energy and climate resilience, nuclear deterrence, and Russia’s role in the European security environment.

The Helsinki Security Forum is a high-level international event bringing together policymakers, defence officials and security experts to discuss the most pressing issues in international security.

While in Helsinki, Minister Budrys will also hold a bilateral meeting with Thomas DiNanno, United States Deputy Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security.
