Budrys met with the Deputy CEO of the Swedish company Saab
On 25 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, met with Anders Carp, Deputy CEO of the Swedish defense and security company Saab, to discuss strengthening the partnership and potential cooperation projects.
“We value our long-standing, reliable partnership with Saab and aim to expand our cooperation beyond growing defence procurement alone. Our aim is to build a strategic partnership that includes high-value-added investments in Lithuania, a wider inclusion of our state-owned enterprises in international supply chains, as well as joint research and experimental development projects,” said Budrys.
Saab serves the global market with a wide range of products, services, and solutions, ranging from military defense, civil security, naval systems, and other high-tech areas.
Cooperation between Lithuania and Saab has been steadily growing in recent years, with arms acquisition agreements signed for more than €770 million, covering Mobile Short Range Air Defence Systems (MSHORAD), Bolide missile acquisitions, and Carl-Gustaf weaponry.
