Budrys meets with the Foreign Minister of North Macedonia
On the sidelines of the international Bled Strategic Forum conference in Slovenia, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Timčo Mucunski.
At the meeting, the Minister Budrys underlined that Lithuania consistently supports the merit-based EU enlargement process and North Macedonia's aspirations to join the EU. According to Budrys, the EU enlargement is an important geopolitical tool for stability, prosperity, and security in our neighbourhood.
“Lithuania’s EU membership is a success story, so we support other countries on their path of European integration and implementing the necessary reforms and commitments. We are ready to share our experience with North Macedonia", said the minister.
Budrys invited the Minister of North Macedonia to visit Lithuania to discuss important bilateral and regional issues. This year, Lithuania and North Macedonia celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
