ATTACKS AGAINST ISRAELI DIPLOMATS MAY LEAD TO DESTABILIZATION - LITHUANIAN FORMIN (BNS, 14 February 2011)

VILNIUS, Feb 14, BNS – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Azubalis on Tuesday condemned the attacks against employees of Israeli embassies to India and Georgia, saying the attacks jeopardized stability.

"These were unjustifiable attacks, which impede achievement of peaceful regulation of conflict and posing the threat of destabilization in various regions of the world. The international community cannot reconcile with that," the minister said in a press release sent to BNS.

A car bomb caused severe injuries to a female Israeli diplomat in New Delhi on Monday, while the explosive did not detonate in the second similar incident in Georgia's capital Tbilisi.

Israel has accused Iran and the Lebanon-based organization Hezbollah for the attacks.
