On 25 July in Vilnius, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis visited the Royal Norwegian Embassy and signed the condolence book for almost 100 victims of the  massacre. “I extend my heartfelt condolences to the people of Norway and wish them strength, and I also hope that the country, which has always been with us even during the most difficult moments, will make use of the help that we offer,” the Minister made a record in the book of condolences.

According to A.Ažubalis, what has happened to Lithuania’s close partner, long-standing supporter and dear neighbour is a disaster, and all the countries in the region have to concentrate and provide support in order to eliminate its effects.

On 22 July, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis had a telephone conversation with Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and expressed his condolences.

Ambassador of Lithuania to Norway Andrius Numavičius conveyed the offer for help of psychosomatic specialists to Ambassador of Norway to Lithuania Leif Arne Ulland. Doctors of Psychosomatic Illnesses Unit of Vilnius University Hospital have offered their assistance to Norway.

According to Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis, if Norway expresses the need for such help, Lithuania will immediately take steps to ensure that the specialists fly to Norway.
