On 6 May, the 7th annual meeting of Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian and German Foreign Ministers Antanas Valionis, Sandra Kalnietė, Kristiina Ojuland and Joschka Fischer took place in Vilnius.
The main topics of discussion were the European Convention, the New Neighbours Initiative, the prospects of EU-Russia relations along with the possible contribution of the Baltic States towards their improvement and the development of regional cooperation.
“We have to understand and we are becoming accustomed to the fact that we sit at the same table as equal partners facing and addressing common issues,” Minister Valionis noted.
