AMBASSADOR UGNĖ KARVELIS DIES

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania in deep sorrow announces that Ambassador Ugnė Karvelis passed away March 4, 2002 at the age of 66. She was Lithuanian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative at the UNESCO, member of the Lithuanian National UNESCO Commission, member of the Lithuanian Writers’ Union.
