Ambassador Semaška presents his letters of credence to the President of the Swiss Confederation, Viola Amherd

On 3 September, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to the Swiss Confederation, Darius Semaška, presented his letters of credence to Viola Amherd, President of the Swiss Confederation, Head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport.
The conversation focused on cooperation to maintain the rules-based international order and to ensure that those defending themselves had a reliable force. Enormously impressed by Lithuania's investment in defence, The President stressed the need for Switzerland to contribute to European security and noted that the only way to achieve it was to strengthen ties with the European Union and NATO.
