Ambassador of Lithuania presents his letters of credence to Dean of International Anti-Corruption Academy
On 14 March, the Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the International Organizations in Vienna, Ambassador Giedrius Čekuolis presented his letters of credence to the Dean and Executive Secretary of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) Martin Kreutner.
In the meeting, the officials discussed a possibility for cooperation with Lithuania. Kreutner presented the Academy’s activities and plans in the near future. According to the Dean, the International Anti-Corruption Academy is the first international organization, dedicated to overcoming shortcomings in knowledge and practice in the field of anti-corruption, carrying out research, seeking to empower professionals to use their skills, and providing technical assistance.
The International Anti-Corruption Academy was established on 8 March 2011. Today, it comprises a constituency of 66 parties. Lithuania became the 63rd member of this international organization on 21 March 2013.
