AMBASSADOR OF LITHUANIA PRESENTED CREDENTIALS TO THE GRAND MASTER OF THE MALTESE ORDER
On 3 March at the Master's Palace of the Maltese Order, Lithuania’s Ambassador to the Holy See Vytautas Ališauskas presented credentials to Grand Master of the Order Matthew Festing.
In his speech, Ambassador V.Ališauskas noted that the humanitarian activities of the Maltese Order not only facilitate lives of many people, but can also be treated as an incentive for a modern society to provide a generous and disinterested service.
Grand Master M.Festing expressed satisfaction about good bilateral relations. He also stressed, that the Order had an objective to expand humanitarian activities and to participate more actively in the dialogue among nations, cultures and civilizations.
Ambassador V.Ališauskas is the third Lithuania’s Ambassador to the Maltese Order.
Lithuania and the Maltese Order established diplomatic relations on 9 June 1992.
