Ambassador J. Raguckienė presents her letters of credence to President of North Macedonia
On 13 July, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Croatia Jūratė Raguckienė presented her letters of credence to the President of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski.
After the ceremony, the Ambassador congratulated North Macedonia on becoming the 30th member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 2020 and voiced Lithuania's support for North Macedonian's EU membership ambitions.
The President S. Penderovski thanked Lithuania for its strong support to the Euro-Atlantic integration of North Macedonia.
The interlocutors discussed the possibility of developing more intensive economic and cultural ties between the two countries. J. Raguckienė and S. Pendarovski also exchanged their views on the COVID-19 pandemic, health and socio-economic challenges.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, copies of the letters of credence were presented remotely.
Lithuania and North Macedonia established their diplomatic relations on 11 July 1995. Lithuania’s Ambassador J. Raguckienė resides in Zagreb, Croatia.
