Ambassador Davidonis presents his letters of credence to the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan
On 19 September, the Ambassador of Lithuania Ramūnas Davidonis presented his letters of credence to the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Davidonis was glad that this year the UAE and Lithuania celebrated the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.
“The United Arab Emirates is a crucial hub in the region, where tradition and innovation are harmoniously linked. We see great potential for bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic and technological fields,” Davidonis said.
The solemn ceremony took place at Qasr al Watan.
Davidonis is the second Ambassador of Lithuania, who resides in the UAE. On 16 October 1992, the UAE recognized the independent state of Lithuania and diplomatic relations were established.
