Ambassador Darius Staniulis Presents Credentials to the Director-General of UNOG
On 18 January, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva Ambassador Darius Staniulis presented the Letters of Credence to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva H.E. Ms Tatiana Valovaya.
After the ceremony, Mr Staniulis and Ms Valovaya discussed the important role that the Geneva-based international organizations play in addressing current challenges, including global pandemic, sustainable development, new technologies, protection of human rights and gender equality.
“Lithuania is ready to continue its active participation in promoting multilateralism and finding solutions to the global challenges”, - said the Ambassador.
