A NOTE ON RETURN OF SU-27 WRECKAGE WAS HANDED TO RUSSIA

On 20 October Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed to the Embassy of the Russian Federation a note on return of the wreckage of Russian Armed Forces’ fighter SU-27.

The note states that regarding Russia’s request Lithuania is ready to start the procedure of passing the wreckage of Russian Armed Forces’ fighter SU-27 that crashed in Lithuania on 15 September.

The handover and receipt will be carried out according to the inventory, which is currently being made, and should be agreed with Lithuanian Ministry of Defence.
