A NOTE ON REPARATION FOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY SU-27 CRASH WAS HANDED TO RUSSIA
On 19 October Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed to the Embassy of the Russian Federation a note on reparation for damage caused by Russian Armed Forces’ fighter SU-27 crash.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office’s information the damage was estimated at 67062,88 litas (19422,75 Euro) that comprises 41712,5 litas (12080,77 Euro) damage to Plokščiai agricultural company and 25350,38 litas (7330,94 Euro) damage to Lithuanian state because of polluted environment and soil.
Following the good neighbourhood relations the Ministry of Foreign Affairs addressed the Russian Federation concerning the compensation for damage caused by the crash of Russian Armed Forces’ fighter plane SU-27 in Lithuania.
