A NEW HONORARY CONSUL STARTS HIS ACTIVITIES IN THE USA

On 13 February Algis Zaparackas started his activities as a new Lithuanian honorary consul in the USA. His consular district will cover the State of Michigan, with the residence in Detroit. In 1964 A.Zaparackas graduated from mechanic engineering studies at Wayne State University, from 1963 to 1971 he worked as a design engineer at „Chrysler Corporation“ and from 1971 to 2006 – as a senior engineer at „Ford Motor Company“. Currently, A.Zaparackas is the head of Lithuanian radio programme in Detroit, „Lithuanian Melodies“.

He is the 16th Lithuanian honorary consul in the USA.
