A MEETING OF LITHUANIAN, BELARUSIAN AND UKRAINIAN FOREIGN MINISTERS WILL TAKE PLACE IN MINSK
On 8 September in Minsk, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis, Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko will discuss cooperation in implementing the European Union’s Eastern Partnership programme.
On the same day, a brief meeting of Ministers A.Ažubalis and S.Martynov will be held. The Ministers intend to discuss key issues of bilateral cooperation.
The previous trilateral meeting of foreign ministers, dedicated to the implementation of the EU’s Eastern Partnership projects, was held on 24 May in Sopot, Poland.
The EU’s Eastern Partnership is the first initiative of the EU’s external relations with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, dedicated to promote and assist in implementing reforms in the neighbouring countries, to intensify their ties and allow for a possibility to draw closer to the EU.
