A meeting of EU foreign ministers with Garry Kasparov took place at the initiative of Lithuania in Brussels
On 20 February, at the initiative of Lithuania and Poland, an informal meeting of foreign ministers of the European Union and the representative of the Russian opposition Garry Kasparov took place in Brussels.
"This meeting aims to hear directly from representatives of the Russian opposition what they are prepared to do to drive change in Russia and what EU support for democratic Russia would be most useful," Landsbergis said after the meeting.
Foreign ministers took an interest in the possibilities of the Russian opposition, who had left Russia to act in Russia, influence the Russian population, and initiatives related to supporting Ukraine.
"As we are marking the anniversary of Russia's barbaric war against Ukraine amid calls for "achieving peace", it is crucial to say what Ukraine's victory means for us. We must admit that Ukraine's victory lies in reclaiming all its territory," the head of Lithuania's diplomacy said.
