A CONSULATE HEADED BY LITHUANIA‘S HONORARY CONSUL OPENS IN CYPRUS

On 19 March in Nicosia, Cyprus, a consulate headed by Lithuania‘s Honorary Consul Christis Christoforou was opened. Ch.Christoforou is appointed to exercise consular functions in the consular district of Cyprus, except for the Larnaca region.

Lithuania’s Ambassador to Greece Artūras Žurauskas, whos is also accredited to Cyprus,  presented a consular patent and the seal to the new Lithuania‘s Honorary Consul and encouraged him to develop economic, cultural and political relations between Lithuania and Cyprus.

The new Lithuania‘s Honorary Consul Ch.Christoforou is the head of international audit company Deloitte & Touche Limited in Cyprus. He is also an active member of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus.

From now on, Honorary Consul General of Lithuania in Cyprus Jacovos Jacovides will exercise his consular duties in the consular district of Larnaca.
