A CONSULATE HEADED BY HONORARY CONSUL OPENS IN GRAZ

A consulate headed by new Lithuania’s honorary consul Johann Christof was opened on 26 March in the Austrian city Graz, the capital of Styria federal land. J.Christof is the head of the industrial concern “Christof Group“. On the occasion of the opening, Lithuania‘s Ambassador to Austria Giedrius Puodžiūnas expressed satisfaction about the successful bilateral relations and the results of the state visit of President of Austria Heinz Fischer to Lithuania. Honorary consul J.Christof was a member of the delegation of businessmen who accompanied the President during the visit in March.

Ambassador G.Puodžiūnas stressed the importance of the consulate in Graz for the development of bilateral economic and cultural relations and the implementation of regional cooperation projects.

Currently four consulates headed by Lithuania‘s honorary consuls function in Austria: namely, in Vienna, Salzburg, Linz, and Graz.
