Diplomatic relations:
On 16 September 1991 the Philippines recognized the independent state of Lithuania de jure.
Diplomatic relations were established on 15 December 1991.
From 2002 to 2006, Algirdas Kudzys served as the first Ambassador of Lithuania to the Philippines (resided in Japan).
From 1992 to 1996, Luz G. Del Mundo served as the first Ambassador of the Philippines to Lithuania (resided in Sweden).

Lithuania is represented from the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Korea, to Mongolia, and to the Republic of the Philippines.
