Diplomatic relations:
Siam (Thailand) recognized Lithuania de jure on 23 January 1923.
Thailand recognized the re–established independent State of Lithuania de jure on 9 September 1991.
Diplomatic relations were established on 9 April 1993.
From 2002 to 2006, Dainius Ginutis Voveris served as the first Ambassador of Lithuania to Thailand (resided in Lithuania).
From 1994 to 1996 Dr. Chawan Chawanid served as the first Thai Ambassador to Lithuania (resided in Denmark).
