Diplomatic relations:
South Korea recognized Lithuania de jure on 5 September 1991.
Diplomatic relations were established on 14 October 1991.
2001–2002 Ginutis Dainius Voveris served as the first Lithuanian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea (resided in China).
1992-1994 Kim Sai-taik served as the first Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Lithuania (resided in Denmark).
