Lithuanian Foreign Minister will visit Washington, D.C.

From 15 to 18 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius is visiting Washington, D.C., where he will be holding meetings with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Derek Chollet and representatives of non-governmental organizations.

During the meetings, the officials will exchange views on topical issues related to the transatlantic agenda and the bilateral relationship between Lithuania and the United Sates. Bilateral conversations with these high-ranking U.S. officials will focus on the situation in Ukraine, the EU’s Eastern Partnership and the upcoming NATO Summit.

After the visit to the capital of the United Sates, the Lithuanian Foreign Minister will be holding more meetings at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
