Areas of activities and duties of the Vice-Minister Simonas Šatūnas
- Oversees the shaping and implementing of the European Union policy, supervises the development of relations with the EU institutions.
- Oversees the expansion of ties with European countries.
- Supervises the preparation for Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the EU.
- Oversees Lithuania’s foreign trade policy and participation in international economic organizations.
- Is responsible for the coordination of the implementation of international sanctions.
- Oversees the deepening of Lithuania’s development cooperation and the provision of humanitarian aid.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Foreign Minister.
