Areas of activities and duties of the Vice-Minister Egidijus Meilūnas
- Oversees the shaping and implementing of Lithuania's policy at the United Nations, the Council of Europe and other multilateral formats.
- Oversees the shaping and implementing of security policy, as well as deepening trans-Atlantic, bilateral and multilateral cooperation with foreign countries and regions.
- Is responsible for the issues concerning economic diplomacy, export and investment promotion, and economic security.
- Supervises the development of relations with the countries of the Middle East, Latin America and Africa.
- Oversees the expansion of ties with countries in Asia and Oceania.
- Coordinates the affairs of Lithuanians living abroad and the implementation of the Global Lithuanian Strategy.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Foreign Minister.
