Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius received congratulations from his Canadian counterpart John Baird on assuming office.

In his congratulations letter, Canada’s head of diplomacy wrote that he highly appreciates well developed and long-term relations with Lithuania and hopes to further strengthen bilateral relations, including the cooperation in the fields of energy and transport.

J.Baird also noted that Canada is committed to conclude an ambitious Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, which will be beneficial to bilateral trade and investment development.
