On 4 September in Vilnius, the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius and the Ambassador of Poland to Lithuania Jarosław Czubiński met to discuss bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Poland.
The Foreign Minister welcomed the new Polish Ambassador to Lithuania, expressing hope that good neighbourly relations between Lithuania and Poland would be promoted and people-to-people contacts would be intensified during the Ambassador’s tenure.
“We hope that together with the new Ambassador, we will continue to strengthen ties between governments of the two countries and the link between business and people. We are on a good path. The Lithuanian and Polish societies and public institutions’ reaction to some recent attempts to sow discord between our peoples testifies to this fact,” L.Linkevičius said.
The officials reviewed the intensive and dynamically growing economic cooperation between Lithuania and Poland, joint energy and infrastructure projects, and a session of the Lithuanian-Polish Foreign Affairs Committee in early November.
