The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania condemns the terrorist attack in Algeria that killed civilians and expresses sympathy to the relatives of the victims. Such incidents when terrorists choose to attack innocent workers prove that the international community should take the necessary steps to enhance effort in order to prevent acts of terrorism.

Reports from the Algerian Ministry of Communication claimed that the Algerian army was in control and had managed to free the hostages, however, many details are still unclear.
