On 12 September, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis conveyed condolences to the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the deaths of the U.S. diplomats in a terrorist attack in Libya and strongly condemned the attack, which took four lives.
The letter of Ažubalis reads: “It is with great shock that I learned about the attack on the United States diplomatic mission in Benghazi leading to the tragic loss of live of four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens. This is a very sad moment for entire diplomatic community. I strongly condemn this attack. I would like to extend my sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims.”
