On 12 March, Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese culture festival “nowJapan” are organising events to commemorate victims of the tsunami that engulfed Japan two years ago. An exhibition of photographs will open at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a documentary film will be screened at Pasaka Cinema Boutique.
The exhibition of photographs “Haru and Mina” features works by Hideaki Hamada. The Japanese artist is already known in Lithuania. Hideaki Hamada gained popularity worldwide thanks to the photographs of his sons, Haru and Mina. He has taken photographs of his sons since the moment of their birth. Hamada’s beautifully serene photographs of his sons, Haru and Mina, reveal the daily routine and joys of the Japanese family life.
The Japanese Ambassador to Lithuania Kazuko Shiraishi and Lithuanian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Neris Germanas will open the exhibition. |
