Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister Skusevičius meets with Ambassador of Germany
On 10 October, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Darius Skusevičius met with the new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Lithuania Angelika Viets.
The meeting discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation, the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence, security and defence, and the Eastern Partnership. Skusevičius and the Ambassador also welcomed the solemn signing of the agreement of 5 October in Berlin on exhibiting the Act of Reinstating Independence of Lithuania of 16 February in Vilnius. The Act was signed by the Council of Lithuania in 1918.
At the end of the conversation, the Foreign Vice-Minister Darius Skusevičius wished the new Ambassador every success in her work in Lithuania and in her future endeavours to cooperate that would benefit both countries.
