On 21 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Ambassador of Morocco to Lithuania Khadija Rouissi, who is visiting Vilnius.

The meeting focused on items on the bilateral agenda, EU-Morocco relations, cooperation within the United Nations and other international organizations. As regards opportunities for strengthening political, cultural, and economic ties, Linkevičius and the Ambassador agreed that bilateral cooperation needed a solid legal framework and agreed to accelerate the process of negotiating bilateral treaties.

The Ambassador Rouissi highlighted Morocco’s interest in promoting bilateral relations and called for the use of ties with Morocco to enter the African market.
