Lithuanian and Israeli Foreign Ministers watch a basketball match, discuss bilateral, international issues

On 2 September, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman. The two Foreign Ministers watched a basketball match between Lithuania and Israel.
“Lithuania and Israel enjoy their intensive bilateral cooperation in the field of defence. We are fully aware of Israel’s leadership in cyber security, thus we wish to practically share expertise and organize some joint training,” said Linkevičius.
On 2-5 September, Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Linkevičius is visiting Israel at the invitation of the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Lithuanian Foreign Minister’s visit will also include meetings with the President of Israel Reuven Rivlin, the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Speaker of the Knesset Yuli-Yoel Edelstein, members of the Israel-Lithuania Parliamentary Friendship Group, the Defence Minister of Israel Avigdor Lieberman, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Hotovely, the Deputy Prime Minister and current member of the Knesset Michael Oren, members of Litvak organizations and the Lithuanian community in Israel.
