Lithuanian and Estonian Foreign Ministers discuss items on EU agenda

On 5 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Sven Mikser.
The Foreign Ministers discussed issues related to the Eastern Partnership and preparations for the next Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels, regional security, the synchronization of the Baltic power grid and the risks posed by unsafe nuclear power plant projects under development in the neighbourhood of Lithuania, as well as the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union. The Foreign Minister Linkevičius voiced his support for priorities ahead of Estonia’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Lithuania’s Foreign Minister as part of an official delegation is accompanying the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, who pays a state visit to Estonia.
