Lithuania contributes to U.S. effort to counter COVID-19
On 15 July, Lithuania will send essential medical supplies for combating the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to the United States of America. The medical devices were manufactured in Lithuania.
The Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Dalius Čekuolis, the U.S. Ambassador to Lithuania Robert S. Gilchrist, and other officials from Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry and the U.S. Embassy will take part in the cargo departure event tomorrow, on 14 July.
11,400 protective face shields were acquired from UAB Medienos Era, 10,752 disposable isolation gowns were purchased from UAB Interscalit, as well as 19,642 pieces of lung equipment from Intersurgical UAB. The aid will assist medical professionals on the front lines of COVID-19 in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as other services staff.
