On 4 December, the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland, held an interactive dialogue on the situation of human rights in Belarus following the presidential elections of 9 August. The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius, who spoke at an online session, urged the international community to continue to participate fully addressing serious human rights violations in Belarus.

On 3-4 December, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius virtually participated in the special session of the United Nations General Assembly in Response to the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Pandemic. The participants discussed the challenges facing the world during the pandemic and how to coordinate a response to address this crisis and recover from the pandemic, focusing on the principles of sustainability.

On 3-4 December, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius is attending the 27th OSCE Ministerial Council. The annual event traditionally reviews and evaluates the organisation’s efforts to address key threats to security in the OSCE region.

On 3 December, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius took part in an online discussion with the Ambassadors of the European Union to Lithuania. Linkevičius noted that the EU should provide pro-active support to eastern neighbours that were seeking democratic change.

On 2 December, NATO Foreign Ministers' second session was held online. Ministers of NATO together with partner countries discussed the China challenge and the security situation in the Black Sea region.

On 1 December, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Albinas Zananavičius took part in an informal meeting of the General Affairs Council via video conference, which focused on the organisation of the Conference on the Future of Europe and the EU's coordinated response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 1 December, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Neris Germanas attended the 23rd ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting. Ministers agreed to an EU-ASEAN strategic partnership and adopted the ASEAN-EU Joint Ministerial Statement on Connectivity.

On 26-27 November, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Neris Germanas represented Lithuania at the virtual meetings of Foreign Ministers of the European Union (EU), the Southern Neighbourhood, and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).

On 27 November, the Chancellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Jovita Neliupšienė took part in an online meeting of Secretaries of State (Chancellors) of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the European Union, which focused on the EU's top challenges in 2021. According to the Chancellor, the EU must maintain its focus on conflict resolution in the EU neighbourhood when recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 26 November, an online conference: “EU Eastern Partnership: Looking Beyond the 2021 Summit” was co-hosted by Lithuania's Embassy in Greece, the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), and the Embassies of Poland, Sweden, Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova.

On 25 November, marking the 80th anniversary of the humanitarian actions of the Japanese diplomat Sugihara Chiune, a special online event 'Visas for Life' was co-hosted by the Embassies of Japan and Lithuania in the UK. The Author Kitade Akira told how Sugihara helped thousands of Jewish refugees flee Europe during World War II.

On 24 November, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Albinas Zananavičius took part virtually in the webinar “The Geopolitics, Energy Security, and Safety of Nuclear Energy”. The event focused on the security problems posed by the Ostrovets nuclear power plant (NPP). The Center for International Strategic Analyses (KEDISA) co-organised the webinar with the Embassy of Lithuania in Greece.
