Foreign Trade

In 2017, Lithuanian exports accounted for EUR 26,3 billion and, as compared to 2016, decreased by 16,5%.

The largest share in Lithuania’s exports fell within mineral oils and products (20% of total exports), machinery (17%), furniture (14%), food and beverage products (14%), plastics (13%), chemical products (10%).

In 2017, Lithuanian imports accounted for EUR 28.7 billion and, as compared to 2016, increased by 15.8%.

The largest share in Lithuania’s imports fell within mineral products (19.6%), mineral oil (18.7%), machinery and mechanical appliances (18.3%), crude oil (12.6%), chemical products (11.6%) and vehicles (10.5%).

Foreign business mainly invested in manufacturing (EUR 73,7 million), agriculture, forestry and fisheries (EUR 27,4 million), information and communication activities (EUR 10 million).

Tourism

In 2017, Lithuanian accommodation services have welcomed 1,55 million tourists from foreign countries. The amount increased by 4,3%, as compared to 2016.
